Rep Power: 10 | I don't remember anyone crying or falling apart on the first season or two (maybe they did and I don't remember?). Why are they doing it all the time last season and this season?

Rep Power: 10 | I think the tests they go through are more designed to entertain us than to find the real next Food Network star.

Well, it was something that Robert Irvine did on a past episode of Dinner Impossible, and I'm sure the producers probably thought "hey, since it already worked for Robert Irvine, and he's hosting this week's challenge..." Seriously, this is the thing that viewers both love and hate about these shows at the same time. People used to say the same thing about The Apprentice- half of the things they were asked to do were just TV entertainment- nothing testing their entrepreneurial skills. At the very least, it showed them attempting to work under pressure. At any rate, I knew with the oft-repeated loop of Nipa walking out, it wouldn't be her exit after all. That is the now oft-repeated false tease. |

Rep Power: 10 | Kevin's eliminated? Ok, I'm sad.:cryrub:
There isn't anyone else that I'd truly want to win. I like Kelsey and the other one she paired up with last week, but that's about it. I like Lisa, but can't see her with a show. How in the world is Nipa still there? (Big sigh!)

Rep Power: 3 | Did you notice Lisa's culinary point of view wasn't that jumbled mess from episode 1? |

Rep Power: 10 | Yes, Lisa was better at explaining herself this time. I think they felt Kevin just wasn't original enough. But it's hard to convey his whole romance concept in a competition, that is something that's usually a one on one thing. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well well well, Okay Nipa stayed because the network is looking for a different cultural show. Keven left because his idea of a show, soup and bought bread the only things he showed he could cook, romance, I never seen any, and The Neely's have that sewed up. Lisa is coming down off her high horse, the next to last place finished maybe woke her up, to the fact snobs don't win. Lisa point of view is now more refined and easier to understand, hope for her maybe, maybe not (warp speed Spook). Cooking on the train, what a way to tell if they are going to be able to handle the stress of doing 5 or 6 episodes a day, If I remember I heard them talk about doing a whole season of shows in like 5 or 6 weeks. I did rotten on their test, most of those answers I had no idea, just so happen the question fit into most of their culinary experiences, (suppose that was planned), like the loser coming from the last place finishers ? Yup reality TV, nope I do not think there is such a thing, called it what you want it is television and entertainment, planned to get the most attention and commercial value. Kelsey is still the one with the best attitude towards cooking, she seems to really enjoy it. Aaron is maybe one of the hidden talents, Adam, jury is still out on this one, can't cook an egg ? Jeffery is to quite, not the type to be out spoken. Shane needs to get more life under his belt, then come back, reminds me of a young Tyler Florence. Looks like it still will be interesting, to see what they have scripted for next week. Jennifer is slowly working her way into the show, a self trained chef and mother, I have missed the fact is she single ? might work against her, not poplular with some groups. Am I accepted to the fact that the whole thing is planned to rotate to one winner, YUP, that the way it goes, the network knows who it wants way before they even start writing the show and write the script so that person wins. Will it be a chef ? not so sure but I think Kelsey is in the running, not yet a chef but has culinary school, network is more likely to mold her to what they want.

Rep Power: 0 | I have to say that after last night, I liked Lisa much better. I think serving someone a raw egg is inexcuseable. YUCK! I also did not appreciate Nipa's temper tantrum. Kevin's cooking has been very blah, and I had no idea what was romantic about any of his food. I really do not miss Kevin, but I kind of feel that about any of them so far. No one has really stood out to me as someone I would watch. |

Rep Power: 0 | new member Hi everyone, I just found this website this morning.
I must say that I like a lot more of the contestants this year than last year. I thought I was going to hate Lisa but after this week, I changed my mind. She seems a lot more human and willing to change her off-putting demeanor from last week. I also like Kelsey, Shane and Aaron. I plan on trying Aaron's salmon and Lisa's french toast this week.
What is it with Nipa? What an attitude!
I would bet either she or Jeffrey will be out next week. |
