Episode 2 – June 8 at 10pm ET/PT >> Robert Irvine gives the remaining nine finalists a rude awakening at 3am, telling them that they must team up and race across lace w:st="on">Manhattanlace> in a test of their food knowledge. After finishing their late-night food test, the teams then learn that they must prepare and serve an original brunch menu on a moving train, with the winning team receiving the opportunity to be featured in an issue of USA Weekend! The next finalist is then eliminated.
I know my memory isn't that great but is it me or is this the first season that they're making the contestants jump through hoops like this? I wonder, are they doing it just to be competitive with the other cooking contest shows on other networks? I thought the FN's show was always a little classier than the others because the contestants were rarely heard saying a harsh word about any of the others but I see some of them have already made comments.
I saw the end. I'm finding that I'm starting to favor some contestants over others. My favorites at the end of this episode are (probably not popular ones )

My favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations.
I like Adam. But none of them are really standing out for me right now. I would like to see a chef get it, but Adam seems like he could have the personality to pull off the type of success Guy has had.
I really don't understand the 'challenges' and how that makes them hosts.
Last week doing the culinary point of view thing to the camera, ok makes since but cooking on a train? What on earth does that have to do with a TV show?
