I'm just curious... once a show on Food Network is no longer shooting new episodes and the lone reruns only air at 4:30 a.m., what's the standard length of time a news outlet can continue to promote...

Maybe it's a symbolic declaration only- meaning that at that 4:30 a.m. timeslot- even though it's a videotape from long ago- he is the host on that tape, LOL.
And here I thought I was the only insomniac boldly exploring FN after hours. You find all kinds of things long expired: Sugar Rush, Food Finds, a Wolfgang Puck cooking class, the Jim O'Connor version of The Secret Life Of..., a weight-loss show by Juan-Carlos Cruz (WTF?!), Top 5, a dessert show, and so on. The variety is wonderful- sadly, it's only airing when most people are sleeping. Anyone remember Kitchen Accomplished?
Was that one called calorie-commando or something like that?
What was the name of the show where the guy at one time weighed like 400 pounds and his whole family was over weight...oh yeah, Low Carb and Lovin' it. Wonder what happened to that show...
Yup, and I liked that show Kitchen Accomplished, give you lots of good ideas for the kitchen. They have kitchen remodels on DYI and HGTV every so often.

Don't know what happened to George Stella, but his cookbooks are great!
I make his recipe for Mocked Garlic Mashed Potatoes quite a bit. You use cauliflower instead of potatoes. Believe it or not, you cannot tell it is cauliflower. Tasty!
Thank you both for the distinction!!
George Stella did Low Carb and Lovin' It, and Juan-Carlos Cruz did Calorie Commando. Funny how both shows were about healthier eating, and neither one lasted.
I think that there is a fine line between healthy eating, and prescribing to a form of dieting? and I watched both of these shows and seemed almost more like a prescribe form of what you had to do to achieve the results that the two men got. With the new blown out diets that were always coming out at the time when these show were on, you know here take this pill and you will lose and most people want the easy way out, no work at it. Which we all know doesn't work. But I think we also found out it isn't just the carbs nor is it just the calories, but the best, is everything in moderation and exercise is what keeps us healthy. Kind of like the margarine here this it is better than butter well they found out not quite as much as they thought, margarine is one step away from petroleum, and is still clogs up the arteries. I like butter better anyways and used in moderation (unlike Paula) is healthy for you, who is that doctor on Oprah, he did a segment on there about margarine and butter. But anyways that is just my opinion on why I think these shows didn't go any place. And at times these guys were really boring.

Probably true, but I loved George Stella's recipes and his accomplishments on losing weight. His recipes are REALLY good and good for you. I'll continue to use the cookbook as there are many recipes I still haven't tried.
Wherever you are, George, keep it going! Many of us THANK YOU!
