Rep Power: 10 | Scripps owns HGTV, Food Network and Fine Living. Martha is on Fine living, I am sure she will be available to them as long as she is appearing on one of their networks. |

Rep Power: 10 | She kind of reminds me of Jack (not sure if that is how she spelled her name)
from "How to Boil Water."

If you're going to judge food like that then you have to be willing to take the food that comes and judge it on its own level.

Rep Power: 10 | I agree. I thought that comment was unnecessary. If Martha felt that way about certain foods, the contestants should have been given a list of 'what Martha will and will not' eat beforehand.

Rep Power: 10 | As much of a fan of Martha's as Kelsey is, I am sure she would have chose something else had she known who would be doing the tasting.
It does seem a little unfair. I mean if you have a show on the food network you aren't looking to make a meal Martha Stewart would have every evening. She can afford a little more than most of us. |

Rep Power: 2 | I went to the bog site of the judges day before, and posted what I thought of the show, guess they did not like it, because they deleted it. Did not use swear words, wasn't that rough other than criticising the network, guess they can't handle it, Told them basically we needed a show with chefs on them, and quit giving us these home cooks trying to teach us how to remake semi home made stuff (crap). Well maybe it was the comment at the end that they were a cooking channel not a travel channel, and needed more cooking shows. I can not believe they did not have the gumption to show my comment, they keep going down and down, must be they do not like us long time viewers. Wish I had a national connection, would ask them to answer it personally, Bob do you not want viewers your age watching the network ? maybe then food-addict could use the question in a interview ? but then he probably doesn't read these post.

Rep Power: 10 | Kelsey's approach seems to be targeting the family and what kids would enjoy. Martha is not the target audience for Kelsey's style and should have made a comment more along those lines. Something like, "Although I would not make this for myself, I'm sure many families with children would enjoy it." See, that is much nicer!

Rep Power: 3 | I felt bad for Kelsey because she is such a fan of Martha Stewart and her sloppy jane's were not well received. Did Kelsey mention to Martha that she was a big fan? I don't remember. But that would have doubly hurt if Kelsey told Martha she was and fan and then have Martha poo-poo the food. I thought Martha's criticism wasn't really fair since the sloppy jane represented Kelsey's culinary point of view. Martha just seemed to dislike it because it wasn't her type of food.
Kelsey seemed to handle it well, though. I would've been in tears if I been on there and had to make something then have my favorite FN star--Alton--say something harsh about it. |
