Rep Power: 1 | Well, at the very least it should satisfy the few cynical posts around here who were thinking that FN had a political agenda and was keeping all the ethnic contestants for public relations. I was certain that Aaron- someone I've become a fan of- was going to be nixed. He had been preparing good dishes- until today. But the judges have said over and over again that they want personality and for him to open up, and I suspect- his personal revelation aside- that he won't make it because he's not giving them enough of what they want. In the meantime, I'm happy for both "wild card" girls Kelsey and Lisa. (Can you imagine a restaurant expert citing two dishes from the same person?) |

Rep Power: 10 | Now I want to know more about him after he shared that. I want the rest of the story.

Rep Power: 2 | Actually, I can not understand why they would bring in a contestant that does not know anything about fish and seafood. I feel for Nipa, her qualifications lacked sorely for this contest and she should have never been subjected to it. She might be a great cook for Indian style food but sure lacks in other areas. You would think after all that the network would at least ask them can you fillet a fish ? that should be a given. I can understand the squid, but the fish. Lisa, should go with her tomboy side as she called it, when she quits trying to be stylish, she actually looks better and seems a lot more like a real person. I felt for Aaron, but we are all human, and seems to be he has some issues with a family member, which I hope it does not create issues on the show for him. Kelsey now that was more like it, real, not overacted, tastefully done, and she looked nice. Shane, seems like he is pulling it together, but I think his age is going to hurt him in the end, which is to bad, but give him a couple years of experience and then bring him back. Jennifer, needs to quit second guessing herself, time to step up, or step out. Adam, maybe need to go to the next comic standing ? Humor has its place, and knowing when and where is the key, he doesn't. Seems like the guy can cook, just everything else is overshadowing it. Now for our judges, Symon I know it can not be helped but the laugh seems so fake and is so irritating, I wish just once that you would laugh without it seeming as it was planned. As for the others at least you seem more real this week.

Rep Power: 10 | When did we say they were keeping all the ethnic people for political reasons? I must have missed that. We aren't supposed to be discussing anything political here.
Nipa just wasn't cut out for this. Don't they eat seafood in India? I know many do not eat beef for religious reasons but I haven't heard anything about seafood. I thought pretty much all cultures eat fish. |

Rep Power: 2 | I don't think any thing here was specific, just alot of other blogs and post on the FN web site leaned towards the ethinic generalization. I would of thought everyone who cooked would have an idea how to fillet a fish, she had none. I assumed, guess I should have not done that.

Rep Power: 10 | I could probably do it reasonably well, but I don't do it often. My family isn't big on seafood. I think if I really wanted to win something like this I would try and brush up on things that are commonly eaten even if those I feed aren't fans of it. Seafood and fish are so popular she should have known it would come up at some point. |

Rep Power: 10 | I didn't like that they would have anything fish in the first challenge since the second challenge was also fish. If you weren't very good at fish (as Nipa was) and got fish twice it really hurt your chances.

Rep Power: 10 | It was funny to see the look on Tyler's face over what she did to the squid. |

She did better than I would have, I probably would have thrown up. I wouldn't have any idea what to do, but I was trying to remember how you cut squid up in Cooking Mama.
