Quote (Denverd): Does FN have any idea what it's really doing with TNFNS? So far Guy is the only one that has worked out....
Maybe FN should replace Bob and Lisa!

I second that thought, but look, we all know no one stays together on The Bachelor and ABC keeps cranking that crap out twice a year! BTW, I think you mean Bob and Susie. I have to admit, though, this is the first season I've actually found her to be likeable.

And what does Paula Deen know about food, except how to eat it!
I've never heard any other judge complain about portion size......!

I love Paula like everyone else, but jeez..I too was rolling my eyes when she said the chicken parm would make a great appetizer.

I'm relieved Lisa is still there! I was so afraid they would boot her. I really want here cassoulet recipe b/c the one in my Julia Child book calls for way too much fat.

I don't know about anyone else but I found Paula to be annoying during the judging. Complaining about portion size? Come on! I do agree Kelsey needed something else on her plate but the size of the entree was just about perfect for me.

So they stay in Vegas for another week---this should be exciting!

What in the world, keep the waiter get rid of the semi chef, Paula been at her party to much, worried about the new restaurant and buffet in Kansas, just what our world of obesity sized patrons need. Kelsey portion size, looked like a Bobby Flay size to me that you see from one of his places or on ICA. Only person who brought it up was butter fat. Mac and cheese, what is that, all this guy Adam has is cheese dishes he can cook, personality or not this is a cooking network not a personality network, and NO I would not watch his show, in fact I will rag them so much on email about his cooking skills, he has had two dishes that they said were tasty cheese fries and now mac and cheese, my sons can cook better than he does. Paula ragging Lisa about her mac and cheese because she used a cheese Paula did not like, and why instead of being rude just say this is not to my liking, I hate it is rather rude, wonder what she would do if some one said that about her cooking, if I had been Lisa I would of ask her would you like me to add a pound of butter to that for your taste ? Arron well pulls another out of the bag, thanks to Lisa, did I see him deep fry that chicken ? This year on the show, the judges must have lost their minds, competitions way over board, keeping people who can't cook, putting these people in front of live audiences, working with children, looks like they were all cooking on grills, and whats next a show about dog food ? I think they have lost it, must be when Emeril and the other chefs left they took all the intelligent personal with them.

I think the point was to make it "Vegas Style", whatever that means. I have never been there but I have seen the buffets on TV and it does seem like a place where they take food to excess. I guess that's what they were expecting of Kelsey.

I think the biggest thing that hurt her is she AGAIN mentioned Culinary School when I know they have told her at least twice to stop doing that. They wanted her present things like that isn't the only experience she has ever had but it seems like once she gets talking so fast words fly out before she even realizes what she is saying. I guess that would be good to keep things going on camera, but she needs to at least think about what she is saying.

I figure we will see her again somewhere. She just needs more experience.

I think the only reason they keep asking Kelsey not to mention culinary school is that they haven't been able to verify it yet, and don't want to get burned like in season 3 with Josh or like they did with Robert Irvine.
I'll miss not seeing Kelsey get her own show on FN. But she'll get one somewhere.

THEN while they are airing these episodes of their "supposed" next star! We see upcoming premeirs for some new show with "Aida Mollenkamp". WHO IS SHE?

Dump Paula, before she turns her show into the "Galloping Drunk Gourmet" party.
Hey maybe Graham Kerr could be on Paula and they could get sloshed together and munch on sticks of frozen butter. She was nearly as rude as Martha Stewart.
I have no use for know it all cooks who look down their noses at others. To say she "hates it" I agree is about as rude as it comes.

I had great hopes for this season, but it seems that FN knows about as much as picking shows and stars as does NBC.

I'm wondering if the reason we all get annoyed with Paula's judgments is that we aren't used to seeing her in a position of authority. FN markets her as your sweet (and now with her party show, somewhat saucy and eccentric) old aunt, so it's tough to make that transition as a viewer. Of course, she's marketing herself somewhat differently outside of FN, with her and her sons always giving business advice on Donny Deutsch or Larry King. Hmmm...so maybe FN should take its own advice and make their established talent stick to THEIR own culinary point of view/on-camera persona/whatever they want to call it this week. If they expect that of these poor contestants (isn't that supposedly why Kelsey was eliminated, because she went sophisticated when she usually goes family-style?), they should expect that of those who now make millions of dollars a year on behalf of their network.

BTW, regarding Martha Stewart's perceived rudeness, you really can't expect her to be anything other than what she was on that appearance. That's just her, period. If you've followed her career transitions, she's only been warm to a handful of guests on her shows. But that's part of her iconic magnetism - she's an ice queen who masters at everything. And people love her for it. FN would not have wanted her to be warm and fuzzy, because it would've looked fake.

I figure a lot of the comments are done just for TV. Sort of their Simon Cowell moments. Of course it doesn't seem to work when we know it isn't normally their personality like with Paula, but Martha could easily be a Simon.

It does seem to ruffle feathers ... but, we are all talking about it today. I am sure that's the objective.
