Rep Power: 10 | It's nice to see some people have been looking for a new home since Food Network shut their forums down.
We have plenty of room here. |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi BerryBaby and FNF. Thanks for the welcome. I hope to have many lively discussions with my fellow foodies.
I was including Ray Ray in with #6. Only difference between RayRay and the other shows is that RR is good for comedy.
I did forget add Giada to my favorites list. I enjoy her recipes very much, I just think she's more than a little weird. |

Rep Power: 1 | I just watched E! True Hollywood Story about Rachel Ray, have a new found respect for her, she has really worked hard to get where she is, and what ambition! I still say how can anybody hate someone with such a zest for life? There was the owner of the I hate Rachel Ray web site, she said she hated her arm movements and little invented words, it sounds like this woman has some issues that have nothing to do with RR.
RR does need to calm down though.

Rep Power: 10 | I can't imagine devoting a website to something or someone you hate. Why let them have that much of an impact on you? I would rather spend time on a website for something I like. |

MAC | I saw that show, too, and give her a lot of credit. In her defense, she's never claimed to be anyone except who she really is. I used to be a huge RR fan but not so much anymore. I think once ol' Oprah got her hands on her (for her daytime talk show), she became more and more obnoxious to me; i.e. with the louder, raspy voice and becoming self-absorbed. I'm sure she's egged on by her producers to act 'larger than life' and a little over-the top as well. I think with the number of times her 30MM shows run daily, her talk show, her assorted travel/food shows, her magazine as well as her face popping up in a multitude of other places, I think the proper term would be "overkill". I was doing a search one day and happened to come across that I Hate Rachael site. I must admit, even though I was a fan of hers at the time, I had to chuckle at a few of the comments made. But, as everyone knows, if you choose to be in the public eye, you have to acquire an awfully thick skin. For all the notariety she has and all the money she makes, I'm sure she doesn't have that much time to actually enjoy it or have a normal life with her family.

Rep Power: 2 | Because of some temporary medical restrictions I watch a lot of TV these days. Most of what I watch is on FN. Even though I really don't like RR, if her 30mm is on, I sometimes do watch it. It is kind of with the feeling of wondering what outrageous thing she's going to say or do or make. Remember the show where people ate live bugs and did other gross stuff--lots of viewers watched that for the same reason. There is a certain entertainment value to RR's shows but it has nothing to do with good cooking. |

I find it such a shame that when people become famous and popular, that it seems like they become so over exposed. I love Paula Deen's older shows, but now it seems that she is everywhere just like RR and the personality has been cranked up on high.
They have both worked so hard to be where they are, but all of that is overshadowed by their overexposure.

Rep Power: 10 | Yes, both Paula and RR are overexposed and over-the-top. I use to enjoy both of them as well, in the earlier years on FN.
The made up words drive me crazy but I don't 'hate' them for it. Just not my cup-of-tea.
There's an audience for all of them and I my tastes just lean toward the more subdued Ina, Michael, Tyler, and Bobby.
