I am new myself, and find it quite nice here, but I have been a foodie for ever it seems like. One thing about it no matter were you go, you got to eat, and you might as well do it in style. Susie welcome and howdy from Texas

{quote}Welcome aboard! I'm fairly new as well, but stick with us and we'll have you cooking like a five star chef in no time...ok, maybe that's a bit of an exageration. {quote}

Thanks for the welcome. LOL! I'm doing much better compared to how I was cooking just a few months ago.

I'll admit I had to look up the "Party Time with the Hearty Boys", but I'm surprised more people don't like them. I remember when they were the first "Next Food Network Star" winners and thought they'd be pretty appealing. Never seen any of their shows, though, so apparently not.

Guy Fieri, though, is the big surprise for me. When I first saw him on the competition, the earring and the bleached hair made me feel immediately that Food TV would never dare let him win, but he quickly became one of my favorites. He's just obviously having such a good time and his laughs are infectious.

That being said, my favorite is still Sara Moulton, and my least is the person who used to be Rachael Ray. At this point, she's been turned into a caricature of herself.

I just watched Party Time with the Hearty Boys this weekend. I enjoy the hors d'oeurves they make and have tried a few of their recipes. They were very good.

All the shows are in rerun and don't know what has become of them. Although, I did see them on one of the specials, I think during Christmas-time?

I don't think the hardy boys got very much publicity after they won... like maybe their show got tucked away somewhere... i saw them for the first time a few weeks ago after I saw a commercial for Party Line... I loved some of their ideas...

My faves are (no particular order):
Everyday Italian - I actually like her "weirdness" that was referred to earlier... but she could definitely cut down on the cleavage factor.
Tyler's Ultimate - Like most celeb chefs Tyler sold out, but I still love his stuff!
Boy Meets Grill Bobby Flay - An actual Chef on FN? what a concept
Easy Entertaining
Dinner Impossible - Robert Irvine may have lied, but he is still a great cook.
Good Eats

Not fond of (hate is much too strong of a word for me):
30 Minute Meals - (ever notice how EVERYTHING she makes is SO VERSATILE? she mentions it on every show about every dish)
Semi-Homemade - cool idea Sandra, but you just seem so fake!
Simply Delicioso - I don't hate her, but I've never liked her... they need some ethnicity on FN and she isn't it
Throwdown - Does he ever win?
Paula's Party - Too much like an Opera Production (but i still love Paula)

Yes, I HAD to justify each one... its how I am

Bottom 5:
1. Paula's Party
