I like the guy. He's a real chef and not a pretty, thin, out-of-work actor who would make a cooking show just another role.

Cackle ?? no it is more like finger nails running down a blackboard. He is not as refined as Robert was, more rustic in the approach, rough American, where Robert brought the refined Englishmen. Dishes this week were, good but seem to lack that upper end gourmet style for me. Maybe it is because I liked the way Robert did the show, but I agree Symon is a chef, and not an actor and brings something different to the show, kind of reminds me of a well trained in classical cooking Guy Ferie personality.
