Looking for HOW TO BOIL WATER, FOOD IN A FLASH EPISODE ON VIDEO OR DVD

Does any one have any older Food Network shows on video or dvd for trade or something-I am trying very hard to find a ton of episodes of HOW TO BOIL WATER with SEAN DONNELLAN-260 episodes total there were with him--anyone remember FOOD IN A FLASH with Curtis Aikens-some one must have episodes of these right? Please let me know if you have anything recorded

I don't think I have ever seen that show on DVD. Did you try Tyler Florence's blog. You might be able to find some info over there.

Its not in stores-it would have to be from people recording it

Sometimes there are places where you can by recordings of things. But if it isn't mass produced it can be expensive depending on who has it. When my husband went overseas he did a news interview and it was about 5 minutes long but they wanted 150 dollars for it and I had to get it some place in California. It was recorded in PA. I decided not to get it.

But Now that you have posted maybe some one will find you that has it. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

HOW TO BOIL WATER - I am sorry to tell you this, but I came up with the same results as you. I collect TV programs myself, and have a similar problem, not one single episode of Hot Off The Grill with Bobby Flay seems to exist in any form anyone can see, DVD or free file sharing on the net. With How To Boil Water, there doesn't appear to have ever been one single episode uploaded anywhere to the Internet, by fans or otherwise. I even checked Google archives, and the real shocker is that there's NOTHING even on Youtube (which I guess you probably checked also)....

It's a real shame that DVD's are not offered for many shows people want. I would buy seasons of Hot Off The Grill in a heartbeat, because I want to try some of Bobby's old recipes. But there's nothing for me to buy.... Something is wrong there....

I have tried to order episodes of "Hot Off The Grill" with Bobby Flay yet they told me that they do not have a distribution deal to produce DVD. In fact it appears as if their rights to even broadcast that series have expired. This is likely due to the fact that Hot Off The Grill included many celebrities, like Suzanne Sommors (Three's Company fame), and a co-host Jacquie Malouf. Many of these people may have not given rights to air any more than a certain number of episodes, so it makes more money to just forget about them and make new ones, like Bobby's "Boy Meets Grill" where he is the only person in most of them.

Yeah it's a messed up thing. Lots of great shows are just tossed with no real fans being able to see them, all due to licensing and greed, pretty much.

Call and write letters to Food Network and Scripps and see if you can get a response. Just my guess, but they don't really care what fans want to buy, only on what they can make the most money off of. Sorta like everything else in life...
