The house with the replica of the current kitchen was up for sale a few years back... I'm surprised I didn't try to buy it!!!

On Mario Batali's old show, Moltto Mario, he used a (red) K'Aid Stand Mixer as well, but he was using the pasta maker attachment with it. hH had guests seated on the other side of the counter, talking to them as he went along with whatever he was cooking and making.

Martha Stewart also used a K'Aid stand mixer when she had her show From Martha's Kitchen.

It seems that KA mixers have been the standard for many years. I remember seeing them on cooking shows years ago when I was a kid and that caused me to want one!

Yeah, they were the very first ones to introduce planetary mixing action, derrived from the giant monster floorstanding Hobart machines seen in food service kitchens, bakeries and pizzarias.

I'm even surprised that they did not file for a patant on the feature, because now it seems as though everybody and their brother has introduced copycat version of their own stand mixers!

For many, many, many years, K'Aid has used the concept of the one-beater formula while other co's still used the wimpy two-beater function.

I'm stciking only with K'Aid and Electrolux!!

My Kitched Aid mixer just sits on the counter unused until Christmas time comes around.
