For dry ingredients I've noticed Alton tends to use paper plates.
And that beaker style measuring cup he has works wonderfully for pouring liquids into the mixer bowl. I have one of those.

I got them from Chef's and the prices were pretty good... and, at that time they were having free shipping which made it even better.

Got a email from Chef's today and they have 50% off shipping and I just got the newest catalog... too much temptation!

Yay!

My mom used to make a Pistachio cake when I was a kid that used the instant pudding.

The King Arthur Flour catalog had a recipe for some killer pistachio cookies back in March for St. Patty's Day. The had a package of instant pistachio pudding in them. Oh they were so good.

Another kitchen item I used tonight. Whipped up a couple Margarita pies and mixed the filling up in the larger POURfect bowl and poured the filling right into the pie shells with no dribbles. I've found they're just the ticket to use when making waffle, pancake and muffin batter...makes it almost dribble-free when pouring it. Also, great for doing your ice cream mix in because it makes it easy to pour the mix into that hole in the top of the ice cream maker. See... I'm just being more of a bad influence.
