Rep Power: 3 | I watched the mini-bio on him last night. It's good to see someone take what he was given and "pass it forward."

Rep Power: 3 | The bio show preempted Good Eats so I wouldn't watch! I only get to watch the 11 pm Good Eats because of my work schedule... I was mad
I might watch if it replays |

Rep Power: 2 | The Chef Jeff Project The Chef Jeff Project premieres this Sunday at 10pm ET and I'm not sure what to think about it. It's an "issue" type of reality show—a format that (as far as I know) Food Network has never taken on... More... |

Rep Power: 3 | He's a former prison immate who worked in the prison's kitchen, working his way up to become a chef, and now he will be mentoring young teens, prison immates and adults off the streets to help them become career-minded cooks.
Food Network Fan or moderators, could you please combine my thread with this one? Thank you. |

You're right, it was VERY touching & moving!
I just watched the recording I made. He cried through some of the interviews.
Here is a man who became trapped ans addicted to the mean streets where he grew up, sold pot, made and sold crack making $3,500 a week, got busted and went to prison for 10 years.
Then while there, he found his few true passion - working in the kitchen and becoming a cook / chef there. The rest is history. Wanna bet that himself and Aaron will be in the next Chefography season?

That episode of DI was also very moving and inspirational!
Some of the young teens in that episode were very deeply touched by the amazing work they did and now they themselves want to become aspiring chefs as well!!
My hat is off to those kids!! |

Rep Power: 10 | Isn't it great to see happy stories? Too much of what TV shows is sad and depressing. There should be more shows and stories like this.
