He went from being a thug / drug dealer to a chef and motivational speaker.
I truly hope that he can get to a lot of teens and young adults before they end up throwing their lives away!! I can't wait to see his new show on Sunday! I WILL be recording it.
I mistakingly recorded his special twice on the same tape, but I'm going to keep it on there.
You might have seen the special (it's back on tonight or tomorrow). If you did, you might have noticed that his home kitchen looks somewhat similar to the Neelys' and Aaron's on their shows.

Rep Power: 10 | Food Network chef dishes up 'Chef Jeff Project' New York Daily News - New York,NY,USA
The Food Network hit upon the smart realization, early in its life, that it shouldn't serve only the upper end of the food chain. So it carries whole blocks ... |

Rep Power: 2 | That's kind of a very moving story.
I really like what this guy has done!!
It is almost as though he has adopted those kids as live-in students going to college! Be interesting to see just who will stick with the program and who leaves. I hope they ALL see it through and stay.
If you watch this show, then have the Kleenex standing by. I think it'll be sort of a tear jerker!
I think Chef Jeff will be quickly getting his own forum here real soon - like Aaron did!
I'll have to program the VCR or DVR to record the show, as I won't be back home until late tomorrow night. |

Rep Power: 2 | His special is back on NOW!
It's sort of like a mini Chefography the way that it's told. |

Rep Power: 2 | I just Googled his name and found a wealth of info there.
Go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. , type his name in the Search bar, click on search, and you'll find tons of videos there on him and how he turned to food to change his life forever.
To see and hear each one of his students' thoughts and views on the Chef Jeff Project and how it made a difference in their lives, go here; http://www.foodnetwork.com/the-chef-...ect/index.html . |

Rep Power: 2 | I recorded it, rewound the tape back a little bit to see if it took amd saw him giving Adam the rioting act at the very end of the show. I mean, Chef Jeff really lit into him and read him out!!
It's on again!
Seems to be somewhat reminiscent of the Next Food Network Star and the Next Iron Chef America! |

Rep Power: 2 | I saw it on Sunday. And, Chef Jeff, bless his heart, is going to have his hands full with that one guy Adam.

I've already mapped that boy out as well myself! Looks like he's got a mean and nasty additude, and I think he's skating on thin ice!
He was already late for the first session, and Jeff did not like that. Then at the end of the show (kind of a cliff hanger) Jeff yells at him again, to straighten up or he's gone! You'll see that part this coming Sunday.
He seems to be mad with Alonzo, maybe out of jealousy, and he's already being a problem child. I think it's that gangbanger attitude that he has from being a resident in South Central. Jeff is really leaning on him!!
Adam cries for a while, making you feel sorry for him, Jeff asks him if everything is settled between himself and Alonzo, Adam says it is, but it isn't too long before he's right back at it again, stirring up trouble with Alonzo again!! He LOVES to fight!!
I wonder if any of the students will someday end up getting their own FN show.
