"Not anymore" can mean the damage was already done before she stopped. I hope it's not something severe. I know someone who died of throat cancer from smoking, it's a horrible and painful thing to have.

I had a aunt that had that husky smoker's voice and laugh. She had quit, but all the years of smoking caught up with her and did her in.

My grandfather was a professional opera singer and he taught all of us how to breathe properly. If you don't breathe properly, you can damage your vocal cords. This is just in everyday life, so I can imagine what it does to people who use their voice for a living.

I'm sure the smoking didn't help, but she's making strides in quitting. I wouldn't be surprised if she has what Steven Tyler had....wasn't it something like growths on his lymph nodes(?) and had to have surgery? He was out of commission for a while.

Hopefully, it is correctable, whatever it is.

Could be. But Steven Tyler says he knows the years of drug abuse probably helped play a role in his problems. But he smoked far worse things. I am glad he was able to get away from that. I love Steven. The kind of stress he puts on his vocal chords could have done it alone but you add the abuse in and it increases the problem. But he was young, didn't know he was risking something so valuable to him and many other people by doing that ... his voice.

Rachael doesn't give her's the kind of work out he does for sure. It's amazing the range he has.

    Wow!

120 episodes of 30 Minute Meals. And while she can bang out four per day,
Those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it.
