Another one to mark on my calendar. I've always loved Ina's kitchen - simple and classic. I wish I had room on my counter top for those large glass flour, sugar, etc. storage containers.

Figured that it wouldn't be too much longer before her show got a makeover.

I have those cannisters in my kitchen, but I keep them in the pantry. I don't like a lot of stuff on the counters, even though I have space.

When I bake, I take out the flour cannister, measure it and put it back and do that with every ingredient. Nothing is on the counter when I bake or cook. That's just me.

I keep my flours and sugars in air-tight containers that I keep either in my pantry or on a double lazy-susan in the bottom half of my cabinets. Since it's warm and humid here, you can have a problem of ants and meal-moths and other critters in some of these staples.

Me also, and the hot new Oxo air-tight lock-lid containers are good for that!

Ooh, yay, I was just wondering the other day when Food Network was going to be airing new episodes of Barefoot Contessa.

I found this website a few weeks ago after searching for a recipe. I now lust after these drawers. I bookmarked the website specifically for the day that I win the lottery and am able to build my dream kitchen, which is now going to include these drawers.

Don't you just love The Pioneer Woman website? I read it everyday. She's got a killer lasagna recipe on there. I've tried lots of them, but it's the only one I make now. Try her Mt. Dew apple dumplings.

I haven't actually made any of her recipes, but I will because most of them look really good. And, I love her fabulous sense of humor which is always a big bonus in my book.
