STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- "Fill out a form, answer a casting call and you never know who will be at the other end of the line when the telephone rings and the call you've been waiting for finally comes through."
That turned out to be the experience of Rob Burmeister, owner of Burmeister's CHOW, the "gourmet kitchen" storefront the long-time Staten Island chef opened in April.
