I wouldn't want to do that either! A friend of mine had suggested that I sign up for the chance to do it, and I said NO right off the bat!! I told him that it's much too grueling, and besides, I don't have the strength, energy or endurance any more to go through that kind of torture. He said; "Maybe you're right. Don't want you to get sick again and possibly die."
Too much pressure and time constraints to get certain dishes and foods done and ready in time. Plus the embarrassment that must be endured that they put on you if you don't know something.
Like the time when Aaron didn't know what chipotle was and Bobby said to him; "You shouldn't be using an ingredient if you don't know what it is." I know that he want to fall right through the floor!!
Like yourself, I like to cook certain dishes at my own pace and in the comfort of my home, a friend or relative's house!
The same grueling torture was also placed on the contestants competing in the Next Iron Chef series as well.
No, thanks, I'll stick with the way that I'M used to cooking!
But honestly and truly, my hat is off to Aaron, Adam and Lisa for pulling it off and coming away on top from one of the toughest contests of their lives!!
