I watch more for personality I think. I don't really have a chance to cook (although I really want to try that recipe I posted before I start school) so a lot of it for me is a combo of entertainment and facts - which is probably why I enjoy Alton he's big into both.

I think you will do well when you are on your own with a kitchen. You could offer to cook for Mom though.

Well any time I try cooking she always comes in and does it for me because she doesn't want me to mess up.

The only thing I'm entrusted to make really is pancakes... from a box. Even the scrambled eggs I make my sister won't eat because she says I overcook them.

I know. I'm horrible in the kitchen, but I'm not getting any better. Watching FN though I've learned some things even though I haven't had a chance to put them into practice yet.

My sister is always complaining that they don't teach home ec anymore, and that its something she'd really enjoy. Maybe we've all really missed out on not having that as part of our curriculum.

Funny you should mention Food 911. I did, in fact, send in a request a couple of years ago, but they never called.

I was disappointed.

It would be awesome to have any of them cook for me, but maybe Guy Fieri could cook breakfast, Ingrid Hoffman could cook lunch (she is a lot of fun and her food is Latin-spicy), and Emerille, the master himself, could cook one of his amazing dinners (including dessert)! Paula Deen could prepare some snacks.
