This IGA was in the "working class" area of East Hampton, New York. Those are some rough streets, don't you think? Don't go walking there after dark. Lady in the sunglasses could hurt 'yah.

Why does she think she is to good to shop in a working class store ? I am not sure what the point was for his blog ? is one to assume that she is a snob ? for some one that is suppose to be an admirer this did nothing for his status.

Well, I wouldn't expect to see or hear of any of the FN stars shopping in Dorchester, Roxbury or Jamaica Plain either.

At least not without a bodyguard or two. Haha!!

That is why I like the down home type of cooking stars.

I go to church with a number of super star basketball and football players. We don't treat them different. As a matter of fact pastor makes sure we know "there is only one superstar in the building". Beyonce(sp) has been spotted coming out of food stores and shopping malls near her home (here).

I think it has to be their upbringing. Nothing against Ina. I really like her but she a little different. She also has a right to feel safe. I am sure some of the stars shop at the same stores as we do.

In her area nearly all the stores are upscale. She can afford to shop in them and it helps those store owners. She has often had local places on her show, I think it's nice of her to give them the exposure when she uses and likes what their store offers. She even has the people who own or work in the stores on the show sometimes. I think that's nice.

I bet Ina could whip up a fabulous meal from IGA. I think that since she can easily afford the best, that is what she will use.

I know that many see those with money and expensive taste as snobs, but really that is often not the truth. It reminds me of this lady that worked in the cheese shop at one of my stores, she worked because she didn't like to be idle, and being a socialite just wasn't her style. She was very well put together hair always in place and dressed beautifully. Many at the store thought she was a snob before they got to know her. Well a very poor worker in the store got pneumonia, and had no family, he lived in a fleabag motel, I found out that she cooked him a hot meal every night while he was sick and delivered it to him. goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover.

I think everyone missed or misunderstood my point, it had nothing to do with Ina but with the foodnetwork addict and his point of his blog, which I still haven't figured out if it was a supposedly a funny or was he implying she would not shop at a IGA ? his sense of humor is weird and sometimes just stupid.
