 Foods of Autumn
Love this time of year!!!
Yesterday I used Dave Lieberman's recipe for Apple Strudel...OMGosh, it was SO easy and the house smelled amazing! Not to leave out that the Strudel was incredibly delicious.
I used frozen puffed pastry dough from Trader Joe's. Wow, was that great! They sell it frozen in flat squares, so there are no seams to roll/press.
Would give this recipe a TEN....daughter has requested I make for Christmas, but will more than likely make it much sooner than that. There is just a tiny piece left.
BTW, I used McIntosh and Jonagold apples. The McIntosh have a huge apple taste. Plus, the recipe only uses 1/4 c. sugar and comes out naturally sweet from the apples.
