chef What FN Recipes Have You Tried?

There are some incredible FN recipes and I'm always up for trying something new.

Last night I made Guy's Jager Schnitzel. It was very good, but very time-consuming. Had a bite of it this morning and it is great cold. Almost as good as cold pizza!

Earlier this week, I made Dave Liberman's Apple Strudel. Easy and VERY delicious!

Ina's Orzo and Shrimp is fabulous and a great crowd pleaser...everyone will be impressed.

Michael's Mothers Tomato Sauce is really tasty and quite easy.

And, Emeril's Carrot Soup, you won't believe it. Never knew carrots would make such a lovely soup.

I could go on and on....Ellie's Onion Rings, Paula's Coffee Cakes...lots of YUM!

What are your favorites?

Of course, mine are only from Alton

But ones that are in constant rotation are:
Curry chicken pot pie -- this recipe got me to like chicken pot pie!
Chewy chocolate chip cookies -- best cookies ever
Pizza dough -- the first dough I made that tasted like it was from a real pizzeria
Cheesecake -- probably the best cheesecake I ever had
Baked mac & cheese -- the pankos make it crunchy
Chicken Kiev -- AB taught me how to make them without having them fall apart!

This weekend I discovered the orange glazed chicken wings! Awesome! The glaze is sweet, a little tangy and a little orangey... mmm

I know there's a few more

I'm curious about some of the Halloween recipes on their site? I was looking through the slide show to check out some cute party ideas...has anyone ever tried anything like the Caramel Pear Mice (Caramel Pear Mice Recipe : : Food Network) or the Maple Cinnamon Spider Fritters (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/m...e/index.html)? I don't know if these are brand new recipes on their website so no one has had the chance to try, but I am especially curious to see if anyone has tried a caramel dipped pear. I love caramel apples!

Giada's Spaghetti Carbonara.
But the 2nd time I did it, I left out the prociuto and just used the bacon and the panchetta. Too much salt!!

Ray-Ray's verion of the Tuna Noodle Casserole.
Didn't like it all that well. Guess I'm old school. I like the old school recipe much better.

Aaron McCargo Jr.'s Flank Steak with Collard Greens.
Delish!!

Alton Brown's version of Baby-back Ribs.
Good, but I prefer to use the dry rub much better and make my own authenic BBQ sauce.

Paula's Country-Fried Steak (made that last night).
A delicious dish from the Queen of Southern Cuisine!!

A few years ago I made a pumpkin shaped cake from some show... might have been Martha.

Anyway... you take a bundt pan, fill it half with batter bake the cake then bake the other half. Put the two cakes together to make a round-ish cake. Frost with orange icing and make a stem and leaves with fondant or marzipan. It was cool.

Sounds cute! I love pumpkin flavored anything as is--adding the shape makes it even better!

I can't remember them all... but a lot from Emeril, Paula's, the Deen boys, Alton, Ina and a few of Bobby Flay's .

There ARE a lot of them. You'd probably need a library to keep them all!

You can pretty much put your own spin on these recipes though.

I mean, there's no law that says you have to follow them exactly to the letter.

Only if they're Mr. Bowtie's recipes!
