Thread: Food Network serves up new shows

Yeah, they WERE very ungrateful at times and were like spoiled and selfish brats.
But Chef Jeff stuck with them and he didin't give up on them, even though they at times pushed him almost to the breaking point. Anyone who is able to endure that type of harsh treatment from a group of misfits who all came from dysfunctional families and were putting up a though facade, has to have a lot of patience and time for them.
But he WAS just as tough with them as they were with him. He did his job and guided them to victory like a tough drill sgt. would do.I'm a supreme Fan of Bentley Green & Aaron McCargo Jr.!!:appl:

Yes, Chef Jeff did a great job, but that didn't make for good TV viewing IMO.
I don't like negative people or situations so I won't waste my time watching it on a TV show
be it FN or the news.
We all have choices and mine is to be happy and watch happy TV.

Adam was the toughest and most argumentative one. He literally LOOKED for excuses to start trouble and controversy against the others. But in the end, he pulled it off and changed his ways.
Alonzo went on to get more training to become an aspiring chef. Hope he keeps it up.I'm a supreme Fan of Bentley Green & Aaron McCargo Jr.!!:appl:

Upfronts 2009: Complete Coverage from B&C
Food Network, heading into the upfront selling season, is like a successful restaurant tinkering with its menu, still presenting the delectables it's famous for, while sprinkling in some new appetizers and entrees.
No wonder network president Brooke Johnson declared to some 600 media buyers on Tuesday here at Cipriani during Scripps Networks Interactive's upfront presentation that Food's bill of fare contains four key ingredients: "younger," "richer," "cooler" and "bigger."

Richer? That's gonna knock even more people out of the target audience especially their prized younger demographic.
Guess you have to be independently wealthy so you can buy all of the prepackaged stuff. I so want to see Aunt Sandy's money saving show

I thought fine living was supposed to be for the "richer". I guess since they can't make that network take off even with Emeril, that hasn't told them "people are less interested in this" it's told them "lets get the large amount of viewers on another network that is more successful and try and make them watch it" ... so it will get low ratings too.

Bring Emeril back home and wake up Scripps. People are making less money these days... not more.

I've never been able to get into watching FLN. Watched it a few times, but there is really nothing there for me. They need to bring the "BAM-mister" home and just shut the doors on FLN. And, the "powers in charge" at FN need to wake up. They are gearing too much to the young set and not enough to the mid-aged and older folks who just want some good cooking shows and not all the "Hollywood" glitz and glamour. When the next "hot" thing comes out and the young set leave for that, FN is going to be hurting for they will have driven off their good old tried and true fans... like us.
