I've always enjoyed Todd and have seen him on Iron Chef. I know he will probably not be on any other Food Network show, but I sure would watch him if he did get a show! He's also been on the morning shows...Today, Good Morning America, etc.
Happy to see that got to meet him. Is he as good looking in person???BerryBaby

I agree with you, Clove, about the FN new shows. Too many things from a box and making food fast, not necessarily good.
I don't find them nearly as interesting as the older shows with real chefs.
The first cooking show I watched was in 1955 in Chicago. I was five at the time and it was my favorite show called "Creative Cookery" with Francoise Pope and his son, Bob. I learned a lot from them.
I had to use a chair to stand on so I could reach the counter but my mother gave me free rein to try out recipes. After 50+ years, I'm still cooking and loving it!!BerryBaby

When he came out of the kitchen, it was about 10:00 PM and the service was starting to slow down. He had been working from right after lunch service. He looked good, a bit "kitchen-worn" and much younger than he looks today. He's very athletic looking and did have a small sports background - went to college on a baseball scholarship.
We discussed my culinary travels and his. He took me into his kitchen and we made a Salsa di Noci for some ravioli that he had on the menu that night.
Then he showed me his little trick for pizza dough and I stole it for my own.
I was in Vegas, several years ago when he opened "Olives" at the Bellagio and, when he saw me, he pulled me aside and told me that my Salsa di Noci was on the menu. What a surprise!Last edited by Clove; 09-21-2007 at 10:40 AM.

Thank you! It's probably healthy eating and genes combined.
Sophie is a purebred Pomeranian...but she's larger than average...17 lbs. Her mom and dad were bigger and that is one reason we got her. We didn't want a tiny dog, but then we didn't want a large dog. Our last dog, Samson, was a 95 pound Siberian Husky!BerryBaby

She even laughs! It is the funniest thing to hear her. She will also mimic any voice/noise your make. You do it and then say to her, "Now, Sophie do it." And she does! She will mimic us doing a cat, pig or coyote and also a laugh. None of our other dogs ever did that...it's amazing and we have so much fun with her.
