With Jamika and Jeffrey underperforming, and Melissa emerging this past week, it seems that this year's competition is on an even level of underwhelming performance, six contestants left circling around themselves in an isolated feeling of mass confusion. I think Flay made a good point of saying that there is no clear winner at this point, and the winner will be who wants it the most.

I think we're all underestimating Michael. His cooking has been solid in each contest. I honestly think he's the strongest, however he may not win because he is quite scary, calling himself a madwoman. On his website he calls himself a princess. But when in the heat of battle, he seems level-headed and doesn't "act" like a princess or a diva. In that way, he's multi-dimensional. I think he could pull off a show with good cooking and an interesting personality and keep the scariness in check.
I'm so disappointed in Teddy! What is wrong with that guy! He's good looking and a great cook, but he screwed it with his immaturity. READING OFF HIS HAND IN FRONT OF A LIVE AUDIENCE?? That's worse than a kid cheating in class... jeez!
Katie has got to go. I'm a little annoyed that she wasn't the second contestant thrown off. Her food has been less than average. Raw. One judge said her beans "give beans a bad name".
Melissa is another favorite of mine. A little more shrewd than anyone thought. I did think it was curious that the judges applauded her for tasting the peppers she wasn't sure about, but last season Aaron McCargo was criticized and questioned for not knowing what a chipotle pepper is.
Teddy consistently acted like a child thru the whole thing. I wonder if that place that just gave him a job is rethinking things after seeing this show? I think I would be worried if he is mature enough to handle ANY job. But maybe it was just the nervous feeling of being on TV.
I can not say as I see it in any of them, I did not see it in Guy, still do not when he is in the kitchen, but in DDD it comes out. Some people you just want to watch in the kitchen, for me it is Gordon Ramsay, I love to watch him cook, if you watch him on the BBSA on the f-word, I see it there. It is like watching Chef Besh you want to see their every move, there is something about them that makes you want to watch, and I know it is not the same for everyone, like watching MC and Ina and Anne, there is just something that keeps you wanting more. I have not seen that yet on any of these contestant, it is like watching reruns of Alton and Emeril why because you want to, even though you have seen the same show over and over you never get enough. So far some of the contestants I seen to much already. Really going to be difficult to pick a clear winner from this bunch, not saying that some one might just come right out of the wood work and step up but so far it is yuck yuck, nobody seems to have that what ever it is.

I like Jeff, but I don't want him to win.
It appears that Katie did well this week, based on the Rachel Ray episode that aired earlier and a glowing review she received earlier.
