BuddyTV - Seattle,WA,USA We've seen them cater for the Food Network's "Sweet 16" party, create holiday-themed recipes, as well as lavish meals on a budget. Do you think it would have been better for her to have said in the burger challenge that they were undercooked instead of letting them find it for themselves? I was expecting her to say something about it after her presentation. In that case it wasn't a problem with her idea, but time and execution.

I think maybe if she had made them thinner they would have cooked thru. It's hard to say though. I am sure it's a lot tougher than it looks. I am betting they are told when something isn't done. Even if it isn't on camera.
Hey all, haven't been here in forever, but the FN Star, like last year, brought me out! I am not really that impressed with this year's contestants, though I think Melissa and Debbie have the most potential. Melissa has really been quite consistent and is the one I'd most want to watch for her broad range of food and such, though Debbie offers a style that the FN doesn't have yet.
Michael is too odd and I think would have a limited audience, Jeffrey can cook well but has no real TV presence. Katie is just not cooking good food (twice with raw meat) and Jamika has great stage presence but needs to up the cooking.
I really don't have a favorite yet. I thought Debbie would have more of an Asian cooking background when she started. While I like her style on the show so far, I am hoping she won't be picked just because of how she looks, even if the food isn't what they seem to be missing out on. If they let her be herself that's fine, but I am thinking if she wins they are going to push her to be the "asian star" when she's a southern gal.
