Well if I read the article right, we can expect to be paying more to watch the Food Network because more people are watching it, just ain't right. If Dish puts it as a premium channel and decides to charge more, I won't pay any more. Some days I wonder just how greedy people will get before, they have nothing.

Sounds like they're just talking about the cable TV companies and not the sat. TV providers like DirecTV and Dish. If they do ask more from the cable companies, then it will be up to those companies whether to pass that increase on to their customers or not. IMO... if FN does this, they will be biting the hand that feeds them.“The Next Food Network Star” and Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food,” reality shows with contests and challenges, have attracted the biggest audiences ever to the two networks. Scripps Networks Interactive Inc., the Cincinnati-based owner of the Food Network, plans to press cable-system operators for higher fees based on the success of its shows. Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin
