CINCINNATI — Scripps Networks Interactive today announced it is converting its Fine Living Network into the Cooking Channel.
Scripps Networks said Fine Living Network has a distribution base of 55 million households, which factored into the decision to rebrand it as the Cooking Channel because of the potential for significant viewer reach. The Cooking Channel will launch in the third quarter of 2010. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/oc...ng-fine-livin/
Say farewell to Scripps Network Interactive Inc.'s (NYSE:SNI) Fine Living Network and hello to The Cooking Channel. Scripps is shutting down its upscale niche cable channel and replacing it with one focused on food. The Cincinnati-based company, however, already owns the highly popular Food Network.
I am guessing the moved Emeril long ago in anticipation of this. Remember when all those people were bad talking that decision. Sometimes things aren't what they seem.
I really doubt that moving Emeril was part of this plan, but it turned out to look that way. Your right sometimes things are not what they seem, I think all the complaining on the forum during TNFNS about them not having any instructional chefs left, and the lack of instructional shows maybe hit home. just my worth
