Williams-Sonoma Essentials of Slow Cooking
I think I am going to order this as well when I get my Good Eats Book. I will wait for my John Besh book for Christmas.

I have several of the WS books and I love every single one of them. This one is going on my Christmas list!

I saw it at the book store today it's a nice big book, lots of photos and recipes. I knew I had to have it and Amazon would be cheaper. I saw a bunch of recipes I know I will use.

I have no more room for cookbooks, unless I get rid of some of the old classics, which I won't.
I do print out FN recipes from time-to-time. Made Giada's Tomato Bean soup yesterday and added my touches. Added white beans, chicken and tiny penne pasta...couldn't find the one she used in the store. Also, made my own marinara.
The jar stuff she used can only be bought online! (Which they don't mention on the show. I Googled the brand.)
Why do they do that? It's pretty spendy. Making my own cost less than a dollar.BerryBaby

We carry the Williams-Sonoma at the big grocery stores, I walked by them do not know how many times with out picking one up, I am afraid if I get many cook books added to what I have right now, I am going to have to move my office to a bigger room, add book cases put in a scanner so I can scan the recipes to take to the kitchen. Right now have them in a morning buffet in the breakfast area, and at the desk in rear entrance, and on a stand in front of the windows, and on my light table next to my chair in the living room, one of my stepson's friends says I have cook books every where. But guess I will have to look at these, see what your all talking about.

I have a couple of WS's cookbooks and will have to give this one a look-see.
Suzie... a lot of times I find Jessie's Biscuit has better prices than Amazon. Check them out at Cookbooks | World's Largest Cookbook Selection at Jessica's Biscuit - ecookbooks.com | Cookbooks, Cookbook Recipes for Chefs That place is cookbook heaven... and dangerous!
ibcheft... I don't have room in my kitchen for any cookbooks for it's so small, but there is a bedroom next to the kitchen that I have turned into a combo library/office. I store all my cookbooks in there making it pretty handy. The only recipes I scan are ones I clip from the paper or magazines to cut down on the clutter. Got a cool program that came with my Neat Receipts scanner that let's me do them in a PDF format. Thanks!
You continue to corrupt me! I was a member of a cookbook club for a while, it was VERY dangerous.

Looks like it's a penny cheaper there. But I did get the Free Super Saver Shipping from Amazon because I bought Alton's book at the same time.

Overstock has it too.
Those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it.
