Warm up your house by starting in the kitchen

Warm up your house by starting in the kitchen

Of all the seasons that come and go, fall is my favorite. Cool, crisp air and the leaves sporting their new colors of yellow, red, orange, and purple. We pull out our sweat pants, hoodies, and sweaters — anything to knock off the chill outside the house.
To really get that chill warmed up in the house, start in the kitchen.
Pull out those slow cookers, pull out your stock pots and fire up the oven for hearty casseroles. Dan, my son-in-law, came in the other day after a long day at work and said, “It smells so good in here, what are you cooking?” Isn’t it nice to come home from a long hard day, especially when it is chilly, knowing you are going to have a warm bowl of soup, or a piping hot, serving of baked ziti.

Mine too.
Fall gets me into baking, soups, stews and the like. I go until spring then I itch for grilling!

Grilling has no season here. It's 365.

I suppose I could grill in 20 degree weather or in several inches of snow.

What's snow? The only white stuff we have on the ground here is sand and oyster shells.

I think we have "winter" here about one week in late Jan/ early Feb.
