Let's Dish: Whose Recipes Do You Trust? YumSugar.com - San Francisco,CA,USA
And I've never been able to find fault in a recipe from Tyler Florence or Ina Garten. Whose recipes have you counted on time and time again?
Sometimes I wonder, do you blame the writer or the editor ?was the recipe wrong or did some one miss read it and copy it wrong, and really how would you know. So who do you trust, that in itself would be the reason so many chefs tell you taste, taste and taste again.

Several of the recipes from Good Eats are different from the ones that aired. I don't know if the transcriber missed something or what. But you have to be on guard sometimes.
As for whose fault... some of the recipes in Alton's Good Eats cookbook have been reworked because he said if a lot of people have issues then it was a poor recipe not the cook's fault. Although, I don't know what ones he reworked for the book
I use Ina's a lot and sometimes there are errors in the online recipe. Like the one for the Shrimp and Orzo, it mentions adding salt twice, when I know she only added it once because I watched the show. Many then complained it was too salty, which it would be if you followed the recipe.
Overall, I've used lots of Ina, Michael, Tyler and Paula's recipes. Ina and Michael are more of my food style.
I've used Emeril's, Paula's, the Deen boys, the Neely's, Alton's and none of them have failed me. I've tried one of Robin Miller's recipes one time and it was the biggest flop that I've ever had in all my cooking. It went right into marsh... at least the crabs enjoyed it.
