Scripps Networks to acquire control of Travel Channel Explore related topics

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) - Scripps Networks Interactive, the parent of Food Network and HGTV, has signed a deal with Cox Communications Inc. that will give it a 65% stake in the Travel Channel.
Cox will contribute the Travel Channel, valued at $975 million, while Scripps Networks Interactive will contribute $181 million in cash to a newly created partnership.
