Thanks! I just got ahold of the local Hostess Bakery outlet. It's about 16 miles from here but I may just go to check out what they have. They told me they carry the Globalls (as they call them for Halloween) and the white Snoballs only in the outlet store. For some reason, they don't sell them at retail outlets out here any longer.

I enjoy going to the Oroweat outlet. They have really good whole grain breads. And, I get a 'senior' discount (LOL!) 10%, but it's 10% more in my pocket, right?

I have seen a generic brand that is white at Walmart, but it has been a while since I have been there. I don't know if they still have them. When I last saw them they were with the honey buns and things like that on a large flat. It was a huge package though, I can't imagine anyone eating that many in a year.

I found a recipe for them. http://www.leitesculinaria.com/recip...snowballs.html

I made a church for a 6th grade history project out of Domino sugar cubes. It was the sweetest thing I ever made.

I spent all the time on it though, even decorated the inside of it and everything and then when I was carrying it into school someone smacked it and broke the thing. I still got the points for it though.

They have a brand here called Mrs. Freshley's but I didn't see the hostess ones.

Thanks..that is the brand I bought out here and they weren't quite the same.

The outlet bakery only carries the original Snoballs, so one day I may venture out that way. Don't really have the craving for them anymore now that Halloween is over.

I clicked on the flowerfood logo at the bottom of that page. I guess this is the same company that makes the natures own breads.

The snowballs from Mrs. Freshleys did have the orange Halloween color, even though Halloween is over. I didn't check the expiration. Seems like they miss expired dates sometimes at the store I shop, so if I am buying I have to make sure and check.

Another sugar explosion. I didn't realize making sugar was so dangerous.

I found Pink Hostess Snoballs at the store the other day. They seem to be the only store around here carrying them. Had to buy one package and they lasted me 5 days. Kept on cutting off little pieces for a snack. Think I now have had my fill.
