Rep Power: 10 | GARDEN: Picking pecans becomes as popular as hunting deer GARDEN: Picking pecans becomes as popular as hunting deer The Daily Sentinel - Nov 09 7:43 PMI've been out gathering pecans lately. I've enjoyed it. Pecans are falling in great masses, and they've been falling from trees for which I have absolutely no responsibility. I feel a lot like my ancient ancestors. You know the ones ... those hunter-gatherers who lived on the edge of a savannah somewhere. They owned no land, cared for no crops. They just hunted and gathered. There is something ... |

Rep Power: 10 | Just bought a bag of shelled pecans from Trader Joe's...it's a pretty big bag and cost $5.99. I didn't think that was too bad.

Rep Power: 10 | My dad likes the hickory nut. We have a Black Walnut tree up on the family cemetery but it didn't do so well this year. |

Rep Power: 10 | Just ordered chestnuts online. They look enormous! We have some in the stores but last year they were such a disappointment. Very dried up or molded inside. The ones I ordered are from Northern California.
Has anyone tried ordering them online? The testimonials, of course, were very impressive. But then, they wouldn't post them if they weren't!
