People who want fresh eggs should be able to keep their own hens around the house or yard, even in this college town, a city councilman said.
Stephen Kunselman said a number of business people and residents support the idea and said he plans to bring a resolution before the council.

People three blocks from here have chickens, roosters and cattle. It is very soothing to hear the roosters in the morning. The way the property laws are setup, they can have livestock because they are unicorporated down by the river.

We are three blocks away and part of the city so we can't have livestock...not that I would want to. Seems like a lot of work.

I get the best of both worlds, country down the block and city up the block!
