sesposito@suntimes.com Hundreds of people who prepare and serve food for the public -- both in the city and elsewhere in Illinois -- are likely working without having passed a mandatory food sanitation exam.
That's because a retired city food sanitation inspector forged the answers on state exams, allowing 584 people to illegally obtain food service sanitation certificates, federal prosecutors alleged in charges filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
