All things relating to food have become so trendy and sophisticated that the reach has extended to board games. Once upon a time the most tasty game on the market was a pizza theme with pretend slices of pepperoni, cheese and peppers that would be piled high on a round disk. No more. This holiday season has at least two new games on the market.
Foodie Fight is a culinary trivia game in which players answer a variety of questions to win. Most of them are challenging such as “What shape is a Japanese tamago omelet pan?” (Answer: It’s square.) “Who shed her shoes, and a White House job, and bought a tiny specialty food store — eventually cinching cookbook deals and a Food Network gig?” (Answer: Ina Garten.)
