Recipe books published in time for holidays make tasteful gifts

For one book, it was knock-your-socks-off bourbon balls that pulled us in. For another, it was a five-minute artisan bread recipe. Yet another won us over with a smoked salmon appetizer.
The new cookbooks, published in time for holiday gift-giving, have proved enticing. We want them for ourselves, as well as for others on our holiday lists.
