If you make them at home they are better. Less sodium and you control the fat.

I don't consider the burgers I make at home junk food. Junk food to me is more the burger, fries and soda/shakes at a fast food place. Add to that candy bars, chips, ice cream, those are junk food in my book.

Definitely not junk food but I can't get my burgers to taste like those in burger joints (not fast food.) I wish I knew the secret.

I use the Montreal Steak seasoning for flavor and they are wonderful.

I just use salt and pepper. I have experimented with other things, but the kids seem to like the salt and pepper best.

Montreal seasoning is the best. I have used that with a little vinegar, soy sauce (or worcestershire sauce), and oil for a nice marinade.

They might be considered "junk" food bcause the calorie count on your typical burger is astronomical.

By the time you've added everything you like, and added another patty (!), and topped it with cheese, F-F-F-FWWWAMMM!! Uh oh, there goes the belt! Buckle shot across the room, almost putting a hole in the wall!

I avoid red meat for the most part, but I LOVE the burgers at Juicy Lucy's! Once in a while I'll do that, and ask for "extra seasoning" on the burger(s), then get out my karate gee pants...and PWAP out!

I'll be looking for Montreal seasoning at the store this week. Thanks for the suggestion!
