New England or Manhattan clam chowder?

Super Bowl rivalry spills into soup pot
Houston Chronicle, United States - 7 hours ago
Use milk and heavy cream or half and half for New England Clam Chowder; use tomatoes for Manhattan Clam Chowder. Fry the bacon until crisp in a casserole. ...

I love clam chowder. Wish I could get someone to like here other than me. I think it's the word "clam."

New England all the way! The BEST clam chowder around here is at McCormick and Schmick's. If you are at the coast it is either Mo's or Gracie's. Does that sound good!

I agree with BerryBaby, New England for me too. I usually use Ina Garten's recipe and it is delicious.

I'll have to give it a try. I love Emeril's soup recipes. Maybe he has one as well.

I absolutely love New England clam chowder. I love clams PERIOD! In fact, there's a clam & linguine recipe that I wanted to try out this week that I haven't made before.
