Rep Power: 10 | I don't know, Chap, it still doesn't sound appetizing to me. I'll take a bite of the ice cream, please.

Rep Power: 2 | Guess it depends.....I remember camping, below 0 temps and we (guys) were fighting over the bacon grease left in the frying pan. |

Rep Power: 2 | BTW, I was lying in bed around 2 am and started thinking about biscuits. By the time I got up I couldn't wait to make some. To my surprise I found a package of buttermilk biscuits (probably from the turn of the century) and said, "That's easy for a Saturday morning!" They were awful!
I had an egg sandwich.................. |

Rep Power: 10 | Bacon grease...yeooowww! What were you going to do, drink it?
Some things are better made from scratch. Maybe the box had expired.
I just threw out my baking powder because it expired. I've been trying to check the dates on my dry products more often. I clean out the fridge every Sunday morning for that very reason, so thought I'd do the same with the cabinets.
Happy Saturday!!!:spin:

Rep Power: 10 | You sop the bacon grease up with the biscuits. Chap you are too far north for that sort of thing. I think if you move south you get an instruction manual on how to retain and store all manner of bacon grease and how it can be used in the future. |

Rep Power: 10 | Think I'm going to be sick....I dispose of the bacon drippings unless I'm making German potato salad or wilted spinach salad. Haven't made either in years. Tastes have changed.

Rep Power: 10 | Camping to me is staying at a 2 star hotel!! I'm not kidding. I quit being a Brownie because I didn't want to get dirty when we went to the forest preserves and made S'mores. Boy, did I hate that. It was 50 years ago and I still have no desire to sleep outside. The thought of no running water (bathrooms with showers) freaks me out.

Rep Power: 10 | Chap, BTW, I'd love for you to cook for me, just not outdoors...unless, of course, it was a patio with Tiki lights, great outdoor furniture, a firepit, good glass of wine, a Bobby Flay kind of outdoor thing. No dirt, outhouses, bugs, tents, etc...ish!
