New chef blog gets cookin' Karen Fernau

Most of us know chefs only as TV stars. Emeril Lagasse "bamming" his way through pork and chorizo burgers, or speed cooker Rachael Ray drizzling EVOO (that's extra-virgin olive oil, for the uninitiated).
They are modern-day Mom replacements, teaching us to dice onions and nudging us back into the kitchen to bake a Sunday meatloaf.
