Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix Recall

Quaker Oats has recalled some of it's popular Aunt Jemima pancake mixes because of the risk of salmonella related illness.

1,000 cases in 17 states have been recalled, each containing Aunt Jemima Pancake and Waffle Mix. The company says the risk exists if the product is undercooked.

Glad I make them from scratch!

Just have never been able to make the perfect pancake from a mix.

Me, too! Always from scratch. When we were kids, Bisquick was all the rage. But, when it came to pancakes, Mom would make those big, thick, German style cakes and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon. Boy, were they good!

That's some what or even very odd. It's a very low or no moisture product.

That's what I thought, unless there were bad eggs made into a powder form or something.
