Rep Power: 10 | Glass baby bottles make a comeback Glass baby bottles make a comeback By LISA A. FLAM, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 31 minutes ago NEW YORK - Meg Robustelli had heard reports that a chemical in most plastic baby bottles could be dangerous, but she had not done anything about it. That's when her mother stepped in and bought her glass bottles. MORE HERE |

Rep Power: 10 | Everything tastes better in glass. Wish they still had all soda in bottles. You can buy Pepsi or Coke occasionally in bottles, but they charge more for it.
I remember the milkman would deliver our milk and cream in bottles. It just tasted better.
One of my petpeves (yes, I do have some!) is when you are at a restaurant and they serve you water in a plastic glass. I have even been known to ask them to bring it in glass instead.
I just don't feel plastic gets as clean...glass just seems to taste better. Is it just me???

Rep Power: 2 | Nope, but my idea of going out to eat is not to eat off or drink out of plastic, I can get that enough at home. I know they say it cuts down cost, I think it is they need to hire another dishwasher, that was my very first job off the farm. I think we all need to demand it, water in a glass glass, drinks in glass glasses, we are paying way to much to accept any less, and think how much it would save in the end less in the landfills, cheaper gas because there would be more oil to make it with, just seems only right and I don't see it being to difficult to find sand to make glass with, or recycling broken glass back to new glass. only seems logical oops there is that word logical do we ever do what is logical ? |

Rep Power: 10 | It certainly seems more sanitary because you can get glass much hotter to kill any germs. |

Rep Power: 3 | I don't think we ever used glass bottles. That little bag that fit down in the tube thingy. Course that was just the second child...I think. I'll have to check that out....

Rep Power: 10 | At home I try to drink almost everything out of a glass. Doesn't happen all the time, but it does taste better.

Rep Power: 10 | The ones with the bag always smelled like plastic to me ... but I did use them when we were traveling. This story makes me worry. |

Rep Power: 10 | Do any of you have some of the polycarbonite glasses? I have some and I like them better than plastic. They even look like glass. |

Rep Power: 1 | Glass baby bottles? Been there....done that. Filling a huge pot with water and and having to sterlize bottles and nipples. Ah, what fun. Am I the only one old enough to remember 'pre' disposable diapers? Yah, there was nothing like having to wash out poopy cloth diapers in the john and throw them in the diaper pail. At the time, diaper service was one step up but you still had to rinse out those darn things in the john. And then there were diaper pins and rubber pants. Ah.....memories.
