Dinner-time pizzazz

Dinner-time pizzazz

Perk up your plate with new ingredients

Chicken breasts, low-fat vanilla yogurt, medium-hot salsa, baby-cut carrots, canned tuna. Sylvie Daigneault knows she's in a food rut when she can do her weekly groceries with her eyes closed, her brain on auto-pilot.
"It always happens to me right about this time of year -- I get fed up with cooking and eating and shopping," she sighed, throwing a bag of rice into her grocery cart. "I get bored of winter."

That sounds delicious. I really enjoy adding salsa to my dishes. I think it's a great way to add a little extra to spice them up.

I think I heard somewhere, that salsa now outsells ketchup in some areas of the country.

I've become addicted to Stonewall Kitchen's ketchup. It has onions and peppers and chunks of tomato in it and a little spicy kick. It's the best of the salsa and the ketchup world.

I'm more of a salsa person than ketchup....or is it catsup?

Why are there two different spellings?

Clove, do you have this answer? Was it a brand thing where a company wrote it differently and there became another way of spelling/saying it?
