Cheese Farms Shut Amid Poison Fears
Cheese farms shut amid poison fears

Italy has shut 80 cheese farms after admitting illegal levels of toxic dioxin have been found in mozzarella.
Health authorities
admitted they had taken the steps after finding
high levels
of the chemical on 25 farms.
A statement by the
Health Ministry
said the levels found in milk and mozzarella in the 25 are "moderately higher" than EU rules allow.
It said the measures would guarantee the safety of the continuing production of mozzarella at other plants.

Cheese Farms??? Wouldn't that be cattle farms? Or some type of livestock.

Doesn't mozzarella come from some kind of buffalo?

In Italy I guess it still would still be. Here we make nearly everything out of cows milk, and if it isn't it usually costs more.
