A&W are now combined with Kentucky Fried Chicken out here. Just doesn't seem the same..but then, I haven't tried it.

In outlying burbs of Chicago, we use to have Dog 'n Suds. Those were REALLY good! But that, alas, was many, many moons ago.

Ours was a stand alone for a while, then they combined it with Long John Silvers but it still went under. They were kind of expensive for hot dogs though.

I know, why don't all of us who have NEVER tried a Whopper, try one sometime this week.

We can all then come back with reviews of what we thought. You don't have to eat it all at once. I mean it is called a Whopper and probably more than you'd eat at one time.

I'll try it with a Coke Anyone else willing to give it a try???

I won't be able to do it until probably tomorrow (Monday). This is like a taste test challenge.

Chefnot...today is the day! Going to have my first Whopper with a .

I'll report back after lunch. That is, if the computer is working. Just looked out and the 'new' cable company is getting ready to dig and hook into the system. Hope they don't mess up the yard or the current cable!

Well, Suzie, I don't think you are missing anything by not trying. Seeing as you and I have similar tastes, you'd probably agree with me on this.

Bought a regular Whopper and I must admit the bun was very soft and fresh, the lettuce crispy and had a great tomato and onion. However, the meat taste was little to none.

Really paid attention with the first bite and the first flavors were pickle, onion and mayo, even though I had a bite a meat in there.

Doubtful I'd buy it again. I think the Six Dollar Burger from Carl's Jr. has much more meat and is more like a burger I'd make at home. Yes, it is more $'s than a Whopper, but you get a whole lot more taste bang for the buck!

Still have never had a Big Mac but I may have to wait a month or two before having fast food again. It's just me...I like my salads for lunch.

Well glad you tried it, and as I said it's not bad food when on the road and in a hurry. Oh, on school trips the kids always made me stop at Ralley's. They aren't bad and cheaper (maybe that's why the kids liked them?)
