TAUNTON —
I make a good grilled cheese.
And that’s the spectrum of my cooking capabilities, for the most part.
Am I hopeless? Will I ever be able to cook?
I just recently turned 22, so I still have time to learn.
For Hanukkah my parents bought me a pots and pans set, since I have said several times how I want to learn to cook.
It’s a start I guess.
I’ve watched my mother and father cook for years, observing, and sometimes participating, depending on whether or not my parents think I can handle it.

I really want to learn to cook, but every time I try to make anything Mom comes by and does it herself because I'm doing it wrong.

My husband's parents did that to him, he had to learn everything on his own.

I would really like to try that Paula Deen steak recipe and Bobby Flay fries on the grill recipe that I said I was going to try last year this summer. I'll have to do it when she's not around.

You could do it some time and finish about the time she gets home so you can impress her.
