I LOVE asparagus!

I used one of Michael's recipes were you blanch the asparagus, drain it, then wrap about 3 spears with a piece of proscuitto(sp?), drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle it with parmesan and panko then broil them.

This is a GREAT recipe!

42,000 pounds? I just can't imagine. I would probably get sick of it if I ate even 5 pounds of it.

I love the stuff, steamed slightly with salt, pepper and a little butter. It usually expensive here, more of a once a week treat, if I can find it on sale.

I only buy it when it's on sale but only when they're small stalks. I like mine stir-fried with garlic or in a Pasta Primavera.
