Okay who's been cooking beets ? I have seen maybe once or twice but not a whole lot of them on the network. I think they must be an acquired taste, and I acquired that taste I love beets, but I am the only one in this family. So I don't get them very often, I hate throwing anything away, but I can only eat so many.

Alton did a beet show ... "now wash your beety hands."

I have seen Michael make a beet dish as well.

The new asparagus....just had a friend tell me how I should have them in my garden. I haven't had them since I was a kid. Funny how these things get rediscovered.

I love beets. I buy the baby beets in a can and put them on my salads. There is a restaurant that we go to that uses them on salads as well.

Think I got hooked on them when I was little. My grandparents grew them in their garden and my grandmother would make a beet salad with celery, oil and apple cider vinegar. Simple, yet delicious!
